* To create a duplicate RC book, you must first visit the ‘Official Website of the Ministry of Roads, Transport and Highways of the Central Government’.

* After that, enter the ‘Vehicle Registration Number’ in the new page.

* After that you will go to the ‘Online Services’ page, where you have to click on the option of Duplicate RC. As given in the image.
* After that a new page will open in front of you, in which you have to enter the last 5 numbers of your vehicle’s registration number and chassis number and click on the ‘Valid Registration Number and Chassis Number’ button.
* After which you have to enter your mobile number, which is already registered in the RC, and then click on the ‘Generate OTP’ button.
* After that an OTP will come on your mobile and put that OTP in the box and click on the Show Details button.
* After that, another page will appear in front of you, in which you will be shown your personal details, in which you have to tick in front of the option of ‘Duplicate RC’.
* After which a form will open in that page, which you have to fill correctly. Also, you have to select the reason why you want a duplicate RC.
* After that another form will open in the same page, if you have chosen the reason for missing or theft of RC, then it is necessary to file the police FIR details.
* The insurance details of the vehicle have to be entered in the insurance details department.

* If your RC book is lost, you should first go to the police station and file an FIR for losing the RC book, and then you have to go to the RTO office in your district with a copy of the FIR.
* After that, from there you have to take the form 26 number, and fill it in full. In which you have to give complete information about your vehicle.
